I decided to take the plunge recently and searched <a href="https://www.wahanda.com/love/hannahsbeautysweet/">Wahanda</a> for salons in central London offering HD Brows. One of the top rated results was <a href="http://www.ibrowsetc.co.uk/hd-brows.php">iBrows etc</a> which is just a short walk from Selfridges at Marble Arch.
<br />
<br />
HD Brows are a 7 step treatment to perfectly defined eyebrows tailored to you. The steps consist of:<br />
<br />
1) <b>Consultation/assessment</b> - looking at your face shape, colouring and natural brows to determine the best result you can get<br />
2) <b>Tinting</b> - this covers all brow hairs (even baby hairs) to maximise your results<br />
3) <b>Waxing</b> - above and below your brows<br />
4) <b>Threading</b> - to remove any fluffy surrounding hairs<br />
5) <b>Tweezing</b> - to pluck out any remaining out of place hairs<br />
6) <b>Trimming</b> - to really fine-tune the shape<br />
7) <b>Aftercare</b> - going through and applying any extra pencil, powder or gel that may be beneficial to obtaining the best result. <br />
<br />
Before your first HD Brows appointment with a salon you're required to do a quick patch test. You are able to get them online but I opted to just pop into the salon where they immediately tested a spot of the dye they use behind my ear. You're supposed to leave this and see if you get any reaction from it over the next 24 hours. Fortunately I had none.
<br />
<br />
Two days later I came in for my appointment. The salon itself is pretty nice, spacious and conveniently located just a couple of minutes walk from a tube stop. After filling out some forms I was taken straight to the reclining chair for my treatment. I must admit, the 1st consultation and assessment step was pretty disappointing. She briefly asked what my current eyebrow routine was and didn't really ask for what I wanted to achieve. I explained briefly anyway - I didn't want to come away with ridiculous eyebrows just because I wasn't asked! I just had to put faith in her expertise!<br />
<br />
She quickly moved on to the tinting, making up an ashy brown shade close to the shade of my natural eyebrows. The dye was applied very carefully & I was surprised to find it only took a few minutes to develop. She cleaned off the dye and moved on to waxing, threading and tweezing. This is the first time I've had any of these done by anyone (except obviously I pluck my own eyebrows) so I can't really comment on how painful it was compared to other beauticians! However it wasn't too unpleasant, it just made my eyes water until it occurred to me that I should probably just close my eyes for the remainder of the hair removal - this was much more relaxing!

<br />
Each step of the hair removal was very precise and she took the time to get it just right, ending the shaping with a brief trim. She then applied some powder to my skin to hide the redness (not that it was too bad) and moved on to using HD Brows Eye Brow Pencil and Brow Beater Setting Lotion to put some finishing touches on the whole look.
<br />
<br />
iBrows etc provide an aftercare sheet along with some individual tips from the beautician, so I'll keep these up for as long as possible before I book my next appointment. One thing I really like was within an hour of my appointment they sent me an email thanking me for my visit & they attached some high quality photos of the before and after photos they took. They post plenty of <a href="http://instagram.com/ibrowsetc">before/after shots on Instagram</a> which I really like - it's nice to see what sort of results you can expect from a specific salon.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipw1IHJ-pdB7jlQ-RdmhoAnQCinSBArS0zbKRd8jliSBIzzKca1z20h5FcI1UG3Lmu975VjpP3M7pBa9cdQ5ljE6uwLQLXCqSo6e3PeizYenRZloCnbdMCVqFHZHh-O1cv0lg8rW6GEWo/s1600/DSCF5778.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="HD Brows, iBrows etc, eyebrows, brow tinting, brow waxing, eyebrow threading, blonde" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipw1IHJ-pdB7jlQ-RdmhoAnQCinSBArS0zbKRd8jliSBIzzKca1z20h5FcI1UG3Lmu975VjpP3M7pBa9cdQ5ljE6uwLQLXCqSo6e3PeizYenRZloCnbdMCVqFHZHh-O1cv0lg8rW6GEWo/s1600/DSCF5778.jpg" title="HD Browse at iBrows etc review" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
I was really impressed with how tidy the final results are. I do think perhaps they're a little dark for me but otherwise I'm very happy with them and I'm definitely planning to go back. I stupidly thought that having my eyebrows done wouldn't really make them that much neater than I could do them myself but I am pleased to say I was totally wrong and fooling myself! Finally I have the precise, neat eyebrows I envy some people for. Honestly I don't think the photographs have captured them as well as they look in real life.
<br />
<br />
I found and booked my HD Brows treatment with a Senior Beauty Therapist at iBrows etc through <a href="https://www.wahanda.com/love/hannahsbeautysweet/">Wahanda for £35</a>.

<br />
<br />
I booked in to Groovy because of its proximity to central London and its excellent reviews on Wahanda. Initially they said they'd have to re-arrange the time I'd attempted to book for, but before I'd even managed to pick a new time they told me they'd moved some things around and were able to fit me in after all!
<br />
<br />
I think it might be easiest to split this up into the pros and cons of my visit:
<br />
<br />
Cons:<br />
- I selected the female hairdresser when I made my booking, she initially washed my hair but after my conditioning treatment was complete she was busy with another client, so instead one of the male hairdressers ended up cutting my hair (minor niggle as he actually turned out to be very good) <br />
- The hair conditioning and scalp treatment was nice but if you book it in store it's an additional £10 and I'm not sure it's quite worth that, included in Wahanda's £35 is great though :)<br />
- Very small hair salon, unluxurious decor<br />
- Somewhat uncomfortable seating at the hair washing station
<br />
<br />
Pros:<br />
- Even though I arrived 15 minutes early they saw to me as soon as I walked in through the door<br />
- Was offered tea and coffee on arrival<br />
- The conditioning treatment included a short head massage which was lovely<br />
- All staff were friendly<br />
- They really took the time and effort to cut and dry my hair just right, approaching it from all angles to make sure it was really neat and even <br />
- Listened to my request to not cut off too much (too many times I've asked for "a trim" and ended up with more of a bob! <br />
- Was given plenty of advice on how to keep my hair in good condition<br />
- The use one of my favourite hair brands; Redken<br />
<br />
The day after my cut:

<br />
All in all it was a very positive experience and I'll definitely book there again. Currently <a href="https://www.wahanda.com/love/hannahsbeautysweet/">Wahanda offer a wash, conditioning treatment, cut and blowdry for an amazing £32-£40</a> (depending on hair length) for new customers - I'd absolutely recommend it!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16441050333334491048noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7404643845824419163.post-70741320326975960672014-04-13T10:00:00.000+01:002014-04-13T10:00:01.501+01:00Review: Rapid Brow Eye Brow Enhancing Serum<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvvDNT6NEPqkGHZH7PMxQ1CwoxSZCM_cQFSIiY5wTKkCqEoYOvJ6h9v6eYbz6rt6ULZwjzqaRn0brbxngYXJJtM32vt4PuUoR65MefvGB57k8MGIzRXA8ahVHmbH6QyWtdo5AROULqaso/s1600/DSCF5694.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Rapid Brow, Eye Brow Enhancing Serum, eyebrows, brows, thicker brows" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvvDNT6NEPqkGHZH7PMxQ1CwoxSZCM_cQFSIiY5wTKkCqEoYOvJ6h9v6eYbz6rt6ULZwjzqaRn0brbxngYXJJtM32vt4PuUoR65MefvGB57k8MGIzRXA8ahVHmbH6QyWtdo5AROULqaso/s1600/DSCF5694.jpg" title="Rapid Brow Eye Brow Enhancing Serum Review " width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
I overplucked my eyebrows as a teen, for a couple of years my eyebrows were almost non existant and I drew them on as part of the alternative/gothic make up style I was going for at the time. Recently bigger, bolder eyebrows have definitely come into fashion, particularly with models like Cara Delevingne on the scene. I've been attempting to grow my eyebrows back for a good while now but they just wouldn't fill out like I wanted them too. I eventually came across Rapid Brow's Eye Brow Enhancing Serum which claims to improve the appearance of eyebrow density with a simple twice a day application, in as little as 60 days.
<br />
<br />
I have to admit I was incredibly dubious of their claims, particularly that "there can be up to 108% improvement in the appearance of eyebrow density in just 60 days" - usually statements like this end up being way off the mark. I purchased despite expecting I would prove it wrong and notice no improvement whatsoever.
<br />

<br />
The Rapid Brow Eye Brow Enhancing Serum is almost identical to mascara in tube/brush shape and size, however the serum is clear. You simply brush the serum through every morning and night. I wasn't quite sure just how much to spread it, so I applied it to a small area of skin around my eyebrows as well as on them. One downside is it doesn't mix very well with make up, it would cause my foundation to clump and flake around my eyebrows, so avoid using make up after you've applied if you can, but perhaps I was applying more than intended too.
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdopgyWZsSpmuRXHJonMkhTX7XXujvvLBI5UlfaRxfXMqC9Ya4zlJ5eaA7d-uuFg6x8YtjTXWpFXOeJtfin-D_Je3SGHe0gMYkrXWxlldNU8VUyAqPh5pxQkJYCFIKImYer3p8WugN_uY/s1600/DSCF5696.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Rapid Brow, Eye Brow Enhancing Serum, eyebrows, brows, thicker brows" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdopgyWZsSpmuRXHJonMkhTX7XXujvvLBI5UlfaRxfXMqC9Ya4zlJ5eaA7d-uuFg6x8YtjTXWpFXOeJtfin-D_Je3SGHe0gMYkrXWxlldNU8VUyAqPh5pxQkJYCFIKImYer3p8WugN_uY/s1600/DSCF5696.jpg" title="Rapid Brow Eye Brow Enhancing Serum Review" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
I was surprised to find that I started to see results after just a week or two with new hairs beginning to grow. I applied twice a day for around 5-6 weeks until the serum run out - there's really very little in the tube; just 3ml! However this was actually more than enough time to see a significant improvement in the thickness of my eyebrows - they were definitely much more full.

I haven't repurchased yet and it's been roughly 2 months since I ran out and my eyebrows are still just as full but if they do start to thin out again I wouldn't hesitate purchasing another tube, despite its rather pricey <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rapid-Brow-Eye-Enhancing-Serum/dp/B008U8N26I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397327333&sr=8-1&keywords=rapidbrow">£26.49 price tag on Amazon</a> (and that's the cheapest I've found it for too!).

<br />
I've avoided including the full name of this product in the title as Lee Stafford are famous for their very long product names! This is the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Lee-Stafford-De-Stress-the-Mess-Detangling-Comb-Infused-with-Moroccan-Argan-Oil_1448270/">Lee Stafford De-Stress the Mess Detangling Comb Infused with Moroccan Argan Oil</a>. Phew! Got all that?
<br />
<br />
Honestly I can't say I was really looking for a comb with infused oils in, infact I had no idea they even existed! However, recently I'd heard some bad things about the brushes I usually use (saying they can damage hair) so I decided to have a major brush overhaul and one thing on my hitlist was a large detangling comb for use in the shower and on wet hair. Boots had about 3 or 4 different combs but this one definitely stood out with it's insanely bright orange and pink packaging and of course the giant fuchsia comb itself!
<br />
<br />

<br />
So this Lee Stafford detangling comb has tips infused with the popular hair rescue product; argan oil. The shape of it is fairly typical of most detangling combs with wide teeth, designed to quickly wick the water from your hair. It says it can be used both in the shower and on wet hair before styling.

<br />
One thing I really liked about this comb was the suction hook at the end of the handle allowing you to hang it up where you'd like, perfect for the shower.

<br />
I'm not sure how much good the argan oil infused tips will actually do for your hair, I certainly can't imagine it distributes as much as using an actual oil would so really I see it as a bit of a gimmick. However as this <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Lee-Stafford-De-Stress-the-Mess-Detangling-Comb-Infused-with-Moroccan-Argan-Oil_1448270/">Lee Stafford De-Stress the Mess Detangling Comb only costs £4.99</a> it really doesn't matter as it's still a perfectly acceptable cost for a detangling comb. The bold design and suction hook make it worth it for me and I'd consider this comb to be a worthy purchase.

Vitamins are great supplements to a healthy lifestyle so I often take a few in the morning. There's so many options out there though so it can be difficult to find the ones best suited to you.

<br />
Over the last year I've come across <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/">MyVitamins</a> in a multitude of ways. Initially I received a packet of <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/vitamins/total-acai-berry/10618904.html">Total Acai Berry</a> capsules with my Glossybox subscription many months ago. The first thing I noticed was the unique and useful packaging. The re-sealable sachets are fresh and colourful and the perfect way to store your vitamins. I also think they're a much better shape for fitting in drawers or travelling in luggage or your handbag than the traditional screw-top bottles.

Each packet comes with full information on the back detailing what the supplement does, how and when to take it, the ingredients and the nutritional information including any allergy details.
After being impressed with the Total Acai Berry I checked out the MyVitamins website and ended up placing an order for some <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/vitamins/super-green-tea-extract/10727553.html">Super Green Tea Extract</a> which I've been taking for some time and it definitely gives me an energy boost.
<br />
<br />
The website makes it easy to sort out the vitamins that are suitable for you by allowing you to sort by category, each with healthy tips and full details about which vitamins can help and why. A couple of my picks are <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/articles/popular-pages/skin-and-nail-care-vitamins.list">Skin & Nailcare</a> and <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/articles/popular-pages/vitamins-for-hair.list">Hair</a>.

They also offer bundles targeted at a particular area of concern, such as the <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/10803401.html">Thicker, Fuller Hair Bundle</a> which includes Essential Vitamin B Complex, Essential Vitamin C, True Women Original multivitamin and Essential Zinc. This bundle was designed to "<i>support hair growth and contribute to healthy skin and nails. It will help increase scalp circulation and hair growth and to produce keratin and reduce hair loss</i>". I'm always on a quest to have better hair so this was a first pick for me and I was lucky enough for MyVitamins to send me this bundle to try out.

<br />
They have a whole host of other bundles, including a <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/10803396.html">Problem Skin Bundle</a>, <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/10803394.html">Anti-Ageing Bundle</a> and a <a href="http://www.myvitamins.com/bundles/weight-loss.list">Weight Loss Bundle</a>. <br />
<br />
I much prefer matte nudes to shimmers so I decided to pick up this Ever After palette from MUA as it is one of very few that focuses only on matte colours. It ranges from creams and soft pinks to deep chocolate browns.
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCIkCjJsUEtxKE3O8IY-x0aPryJGSwnwV6x8uZJowRaUiGVOp8e1E3sJpz8q9ST912j2mOrc1M63snjoTYgEMmq6d8qT5IhcZbWYyp4q66aGmtz9_iOILi3gBCYaXOhArKrYLfaRwahXE/s1600/DSCF4538+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="MUA, Ever After matte palette, eyehsadow, nudes, " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCIkCjJsUEtxKE3O8IY-x0aPryJGSwnwV6x8uZJowRaUiGVOp8e1E3sJpz8q9ST912j2mOrc1M63snjoTYgEMmq6d8qT5IhcZbWYyp4q66aGmtz9_iOILi3gBCYaXOhArKrYLfaRwahXE/s1600/DSCF4538+copy.jpg" title="MUA Ever After Nude Palette Review" width="600" /></a>
<br />
<br />
As you can see from the swatches, the colours aren't ultra pigmented but it does a decent job for the price. It's also suitable for anyone looking for a slightly more subtle and natural look. I've found some of the shades quite useful for filling in my eyebrows without making them look too drawn on.
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWkFLs3YFXuXw8jf9xU27G_GT7Lhh-IuvDDKKA8pWNZHc8A-dZEzCn9pY_m9sbi261KXCJZy8ASsuaO8VK7T_rUPWVqLLPm5jYk8lIOiT4yflmtoI1u7d79N2htdl07yfAUrkml_wObww/s1600/DSCF5079+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="MUA, Ever After matte palette, eyehsadow, nudes, " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWkFLs3YFXuXw8jf9xU27G_GT7Lhh-IuvDDKKA8pWNZHc8A-dZEzCn9pY_m9sbi261KXCJZy8ASsuaO8VK7T_rUPWVqLLPm5jYk8lIOiT4yflmtoI1u7d79N2htdl07yfAUrkml_wObww/s1600/DSCF5079+copy.jpg" title="MUA Ever After Nude Palette Swatches" width="600" /></a>
<br />
<br />
I really like that it has several paler cream shades (Unwrap, Butter and Bare) as I tend to use these the most in nude palettes. I also love that it has a deep, black/brown shade for a smokey look. I probably won't use the blue-grey shade, Fog, and always wonder why nude palettes often include a shade like this as I would never mix greys with browns! The compact itself is pretty cheap looking and doesn't have a mirror.

<br />
<br />
MUA have made a name for themselves being a budget brand but still with a decent quality. This <a href="http://www.muastore.co.uk/matte-palette">Ever After</a> palette makes no exception at just £4. I'd say it's a worthy purchase and useful in a make up collection, but I wouldn't limit myself to just this palette. <br />
I am a big fan of Sleek's i-Divine Palettes, almost always reaching for them when I decide to apply eyeshadow. They're Oh So Special palette is perfect for spring with rosey pastel shades. It also has a range of chocolatey browns perfect for any time of the year.

<br />
As you can see here, Sleek's eyeshadows typically apply very well and high in pigment, with their shimmers being particularly impressive. My favourites in this palette are the peach toned Pamper and Ribbon and the metallic roses Organza and Gateau although I think you have to be careful with these shades so that you don't end up looking like you've come down with a case of conjunctivitis!

This will be another well-used Sleek purchase in my make up collection and I would urge anyone who doesn't own any of their eyeshadow palettes to go out and buy some immediately! They apply and blend so well and each palette comes with a huge mirror so they're perfect for touch ups on the go too. At <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/sleek-makeup/sleek-oh-so-special-i-divine/invt/276453">£7.99 from Superdrug</a> I feel it's a complete steal.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16441050333334491048noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7404643845824419163.post-84382658358229285102014-03-05T09:44:00.001+00:002014-03-05T09:44:46.439+00:00Review: Jindie Nails Don't Get it Citrus Twisted<center>

I really love the jelly like indie nail polishes around lately, so this was one of my recent purchases. Don't Get it Citrus Twisted by <a href="http://jindienails.com/">Jindie Nails</a> (an American indie polish company) is available from <a href="http://rainbow-connection.co.uk/collections/jindie-nails/products/dont-get-it-citrus-twisted">Rainbow Connection</a> which is a UK supplier stocking indie nail polishes from all over the world.<br />

<br />
Don't Get it Citrus Twisted is a bright lime green shade with flecks of matte glitter in yellow, green, pink and white. The glitter ranges in size from large hexagons and circles to fine dots.

<br />
I applied 3 coats of this polish over a white base to help make the bright green really pop. Again, as with my previous indie polish <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/12/Glam-Polish-Blibber-Blubber.html">purchase</a> I found it difficult to achieve the gel like appearance but it still looked pretty good. Perfect for spring/summer; very fresh and fruity. As with most glitters, there is some minimal effort required for an even arrangement of glitter but it isn't too time consuming as there's plenty of glitter in the bottle.

<br />
<br />
Firstly, I decided to get my 2nd tattoo. I was looking for a paint splash style which isn't so common yet so it took me a while to find a suitable artist. I found <a href="http://www.heartforart.co.uk/">Sam Barber of Heart for Art</a> near Manchester. I've never been up north before - hey I'm from south Wales and then moved to London, Manchester is super north to me! I decided to go up and spend a night there. I stayed in an Ibis hotel which was surprisingly nice with a shower that lit up depending on how hot or cold it was (so I turned off all the room lights and had some sort of disco shower of course).
<br />
<br />
The tattoo took around 4 and a half hours in total. It was fine getting it done but healing was a pain! It was much more tender than I remember my first tattoo being and I'm sure it took a fair bit longer to return to normal skin, but it's well on it's way now. Here's a shot of it freshly done just after Sam finished. A few have asked why a shark - well it's because they've always been my favourite animal and I think they're grossly misunderstood and demonised. I hope to swim with them one day!
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5NW0037h8Ex5Bu6hBw3ejR3ZqHq62alrhP7YCygls-vWAvdnXbaZlaKSunHrqdKl92Y3ZesAVKdmNWGl_KUzBV3o2my2Nl85S91CiYfQwBiCjDAeN8K40C3XlqnpjZnHu8DzThdSDPvk/s640/blogger-image-1612809359.jpg"><img alt="tattoo, tattoos, inked, Heart for Art, flat, shark tattoo, watercolour tattoo, watercolor tattoo, paint tattoo" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5NW0037h8Ex5Bu6hBw3ejR3ZqHq62alrhP7YCygls-vWAvdnXbaZlaKSunHrqdKl92Y3ZesAVKdmNWGl_KUzBV3o2my2Nl85S91CiYfQwBiCjDAeN8K40C3XlqnpjZnHu8DzThdSDPvk/s640/blogger-image-1612809359.jpg" title="watercolour shark tattoo" /></a></center>
<br />
Secondly, the most major reason I've been away lately is that I came to realise I was very unhappy in my new flat. I moved there in a rush after the flat I previously lived in for almost 3 years was sold and I had to move out. It seemed nice at first but it went downhill from there.
<br />
<br />
Firstly the area was noisy, ambulances & police cars every few minutes blaring past the front door, day or night. At the crossroads outside traffic often beeped their car horns through the night, sometimes just for fun. I even had roadworks going on right outside my flat at 1am a few times.
<br />
<br />
Then the problems inside the flat started. I'd rarely have plates, cooking utensils or cutlery to use as they had all been used by my housemate & left out dirty. It soon became apparent this was a party house with drunken people staying over on a regular basis in the shared kitchen/living room, so when I'd wake up I couldn't even make myself breakfast (I shouldn't have to go in and wake up hungover people in my PJs almost every weekend). Some weekends a whole load of people would come over and make a load of noise all night, leaving the place in a disgusting state when they finally left. I've basically spent the last 2 months as an invisible housemate, cooped up in my bedroom at all times until everyone goes out so that I finally felt comfortable using the kitchen to make myself some food.
<br />
<br />
In only my third month, my rent was increased by £50 per month. I finally lost all my cheer and motivation. I stopped going to the gym and spent most evenings watching hours upon hours of Netflix. I stopped drinking alcohol as I found it was making me too fed up. I was constantly tired and having intense headaches. All in all, not great! I needed to get out & desperately hunted for a new place to live, only to get excited about 2 places that ended up slipping through my hands. Finally yesterday I agreed on a new place in the docklands which I'm very happy to say I'm moving to this weekend. It's en-suite and even has a balcony :) really hoping this one works out! Here are some photos of the new room:

<br />
When I visit airports I get a big thrill from shopping in them, no idea why, I just love the idea of buying some goodies either there or on the plane! So in a recent trip to Latvia over new year I decided to purchase one of Bobbi Brown's most famous products; the <a href="http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/product/5143/7785/Best-Sellers/Eyes/Long-Wear-Gel-Eyeliner/New-Shades/index.tmpl">Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner</a>. I went for just a classic 'Black Ink' shade for everyday use.
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
For the last few years, I have consistently stuck to my <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Eye-Studio-Lasting-Drama-Gel-Liner_1190781/">Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner</a> - mainly because a pot lasts for such a long time. Bobbi Brown's eyeliner comes in at more than double the cost of this and does not include an eyeliner brush like Maybelline's! Is it worth it? Maybe. The main benefit for me of Bobbi Brown's is that it's definitely true to its name, it will last all day long, it doesn't budge and it doesn't imprint on my brow bone as it's drying (a frequent problem with Maybelline's). However, I'd actually say it's a less intense black than Maybelline's - I feel like I have to build it up a little thicker to get a truly opaque black.
<br />
<br />

<br />
Even though it's definitely not a budget buy at <a href="http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/product/5143/7785/Best-Sellers/Eyes/Long-Wear-Gel-Eyeliner/New-Shades/index.tmpl">£17.50, Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner</a> is definitely going to last you a long time and is still a worthy purchase.

<br />
<br />
This pastel coloured powder is designed to illuminate your skin to give you a healthy glow. Bobbi Brown say it has a <i>"blend of Mulberry, Grape and Scutellaria extracts, as well as Sodium Hyaluronate (beloved for its moisture magnet-like effect) to help keep skin fresh and smooth looking"</i>. In store I was told that this powder would not set my make up and instead should be applied after setting, however when asking their Twitter account I was told it could be used as a setting powder. I experimented myself and personally I find it sufficiently sets my make up.
<br />
<br />
I apply this illuminating powder with a large, soft powder brush after I've applied my my foundation, concealer and contouring/highlighting. It really helps to give a fantastic, almost translucent glow above my base make up and seems to be the perfect level of dewiness without looking shiny or shimmery. I apply my blush, eye make up and lipstick afterwards however. I find it's absolutely perfect for pale skin but they also <a href="http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/products/2337/Makeup/Face/Powders/index.tmpl?cm_re=Gnav-_-Makeup-_-Face-Powders">offer different shades</a> for those with darker complexions.

<br />
Whilst the metallic silver case is beautiful, it doesn't go particularly well with make-up covered fingers! It has a good sized mirror inside the compact which is useful for emergencies, although with the <a href="http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/product/2337/1000000799/Makeup/Face/Powders/Brightening-Finishing-Powder--Porcelain-Pearl/index.tmpl">£40 price tag</a>, I don't risk carrying it around on a regular basis for fear of dropping and smashing it!
<br />
<br />
Overall I really like this product and I'd say it's likely going to be a future re-purchase for me. Unfortunately the results were kind of hard to capture in a photo, but I've been very impressed with the actual results.
<br /><br /><b>UPDATE 27 Feb 2014</b>: I wanted to post a quick update to say that I found I soon hit the bottom of the container using this product, so it really doesn't last very long (I don't personally think I was over applying). This occurred within about a month. For this reason I'd definitely not re-purchase so lightly as I would anticipate using this up completely within 2-3 months.<br />

<br />
Dark eyeshadows are one of my biggest concerns when it comes to my skin. I'm quite pale and I believe this is why I have fairly dark circles. They never seem to be impacted by good sleep and rarely do eye creams make much of a difference. By far the most effective way to get rid of them is to simple conceal them. In comes <a href="http://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/lemon-aid">Benefit's Lemond Aid</a>. I initially trialled this product when it came in mini form in <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/01/confessions-of-concealaholic.html">Benefit's Confessions of a Concealaholic Kit</a>. When I purchased it I wasn't particularly interested in Lemon Aid, but it turned out to be by far my favourite product in the box.<br />

<br />
Benefit's Lemon Aid is a colour-correcting eyelid primer but I find it works perfectly under your eyes too.
To colour correct an area of skin, you can simply take a look at the colour you wish to hide and select the colour opposite in the wheel to help neutralise the tone. As you can see here, to combat the bluey-purple tones of dark shadows, it's best to go for yellows and peaches, making Lemon Aid perfect for the job.

<br />
Benefit's Lemon Aid is a fairly high pigment cream primer and will really go a long way to neutralise any dark shadows. I apply it after my moisturiser and face primer, just before my foundation and concealer, focusing mainly on the area under my eyes although I do use it on the eye lids too. Due to its high pigment it's actually pretty effective at hiding spots and other blemishes too. An all-round useful product when it comes to concealing any concerns you may have. Here you can see it applied to my hand (unblended):

<a name='more'></a><br />
The <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Real-Techniques-Miracle-Complexion-Sponge_1389470/">Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge</a> is a little different to the others as it has an additional flat edge which you can use for the contours around the eyes and nose. However, as you'd expect, it also has rounded sides for blending large areas around the face with a stippling motion and a precision tip to conceal blemishes and imperfections.
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMBaTDZ30ToE3Q4bd6OKD98JnXwXTDTz1DhU3KPUa8yOUq7PLd-Wg-nMO0GI1ybPqEIEe6AAE927cHsLcYztWCSRAVE8JRC5BnvfxMUNOMiWazrSomHdlAomj2RfogBhFxt1V8gfRjFjg/s1600/DSCF5141+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, Beauty Blender, foundation sponge" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMBaTDZ30ToE3Q4bd6OKD98JnXwXTDTz1DhU3KPUa8yOUq7PLd-Wg-nMO0GI1ybPqEIEe6AAE927cHsLcYztWCSRAVE8JRC5BnvfxMUNOMiWazrSomHdlAomj2RfogBhFxt1V8gfRjFjg/s1600/DSCF5141+copy.jpg" title="Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
Before using this sponge, I rinse it in warm water and then squeeze out as much excess water as possible. I have yet to find the flat edge useful, I don't really see the need for it and prefer to simply use the rounded edge for most of my face then the precision tip for around my eyes.
<br />
<br />
Disappointingly, I just don't find this sponge as effective as my <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/cosmopolitan/cosmopolitan-blend-perfection-sponge/invt/219868">Cosmopolitan's Blend Perfection Sponge</a> because the foundation seems to get lost in the sponge and very little is transferred to my face. I'm just not getting the airbrushed look I'd come to expect. This sponge has now moved to the back of my drawer for emergencies only!
<br />

The <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Real-Techniques-Miracle-Complexion-Sponge_1389470/">Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is available for £5.99</a> from Boots. <br />
Another hyped product I couldn't resist picking up for myself; <a href="http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk/color/cheeks/blush/~/orgasm-blush">Nars Orgasm Blush</a>.
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
At first look, I couldn't really identify exactly why this blusher has received so much attention; it seems quite subtle and there was nothing particularly unique about it.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH8dwedtpn-gSkw1zi7uFYw5aPb0UWVrDgvcfGFGVRzMR8L7skWWSTZpzJdtgAg47QwsZzMPv22z-XwqBrB3WJ73p4id8Qpvp9EOCwp7IKgShXDyh0q-eC-3OC8crIqMAQfiiGqr1reDM/s1600/DSCF5211+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Nars Orgasm Blush, blusher, pink, coral, shimmer, highlight" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH8dwedtpn-gSkw1zi7uFYw5aPb0UWVrDgvcfGFGVRzMR8L7skWWSTZpzJdtgAg47QwsZzMPv22z-XwqBrB3WJ73p4id8Qpvp9EOCwp7IKgShXDyh0q-eC-3OC8crIqMAQfiiGqr1reDM/s1600/DSCF5211+copy.jpg" title="Nars Orgasm Blusher Review" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
The casing was certainly very nice however; velvet matte black with a decent sized mirror inside. This blusher is quite large compared to many and I don't think I'll reach the bottom of the pan any time soon.
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPNZnreIQSYD-JSOMyNAB4pIEd2b6pCFUloOm1ZTZr062Mpte8ENc_Kec_caPRt-y86A7jH6AW09Cv2EsYKjhbJb1M7NI1KjG5ar5GdKyJD0tYt_4swHHPvd0kJcXHgVXgKeBylJw5xJM/s1600/DSCF5213+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Nars Orgasm Blush, blusher, pink, coral, shimmer, highlight" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPNZnreIQSYD-JSOMyNAB4pIEd2b6pCFUloOm1ZTZr062Mpte8ENc_Kec_caPRt-y86A7jH6AW09Cv2EsYKjhbJb1M7NI1KjG5ar5GdKyJD0tYt_4swHHPvd0kJcXHgVXgKeBylJw5xJM/s1600/DSCF5213+copy.jpg" title="Nars Orgasm Blusher Review" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
When applied, the colour is a natural pink flush with some gold shimmer highlights. As suspected the colour is fairly subtle but very build-able, making it easy to get just the right amount of colour you need. You certainly don't need to worry about it starting out too intense so it's perfect for paler skin, although I'm not sure how well it would fair on darker tones.
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim2tVPlg-EUMX2xn1WQ2b4-s2PpUr3zvTnoNVZKTQEvrXzb_7ZT-eF3izGlY0lEaxzDIrU1Ig1CFO6m_tS0QIiQ_ZIR8cX1Z8wY6BSjbT1fvUkQi2lmHmRpjLiFYn9jlFO2PSAgvpcaXk/s1600/DSCF5304+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Nars Orgasm Blush, blusher, pink, coral, shimmer, highlight" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim2tVPlg-EUMX2xn1WQ2b4-s2PpUr3zvTnoNVZKTQEvrXzb_7ZT-eF3izGlY0lEaxzDIrU1Ig1CFO6m_tS0QIiQ_ZIR8cX1Z8wY6BSjbT1fvUkQi2lmHmRpjLiFYn9jlFO2PSAgvpcaXk/s1600/DSCF5304+copy.jpg" title="Nars Orgasm Blush Review" width="400" /></a></center>
<br />
It was only when I wore it for a full day did I really see the full benefit of this blusher. It stayed really well and had barely faded by the evening. I naturally assumed that the subtlety of this blush would directly relate to it's staying power but I'm very pleased to say I was wrong. This blush is definitely long-lasting and superior to most other blushers I own.
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk/color/cheeks/blush/~/orgasm-blush">Nars Orgasm Blush</a> is on the pricier end at £21.50 however the build-able colour, large pan and staying power make it one of the worthiest blushers I've ever bought.

<br />
I purchased <a href="http://www.origins.co.uk/product/10950/11641/Skincare/Range/GinZing/GinZing/Refreshing-eye-cream-to-brighten-and-depuff/index.tmpl">Origins GinZing Refreshing eye cream</a> after seeing it featured in a magazine a while back for really helping to get rid of dark circles. On top of this, it's won awards, including Company's #bbloggerapproved Beauty Awards. So it must be great right? Well I've used almost a whole jar now (that's a long time of use!) usually applying in the morning and the night. Eh, I haven't been impressed really.<br />
<a name='more'></a>
<br />
Origins say <i>"GinZing eye cream helps to reduce the look of dark circles. Unsightly bags and puffiness seem less visible. And Origins proprietary complex of Caffeine from Coffee bean, Panax Ginseng, Magnolia Extract and natural optic brighteners rapidly wakes up, refreshes and restores radiance to tired eyes.</i>"

<br />
It certainly sounds great, but I just haven't noticed a difference. I don't really have puffiness or bags, so I can't really comment on its effectiveness there, but it doesn't make any impact on my dark shadows, which is one of my biggest concerns. It has quite a thick consistency as eye creams go, making it feel a little more luxurious and I will say it does sink in well, but it's nothing special for me and not worth the <a href="http://www.origins.co.uk/product/10950/11641/Skincare/Range/GinZing/GinZing/Refreshing-eye-cream-to-brighten-and-depuff/index.tmpl">£23 price tag</a>. Honestly I'm just not sure any eye cream will ever get rid of dark circles if you have always just have them naturally, I think they can only be masked by colour correctors and concealers.
<br />
<br />
Would I re-purchase? Unlikely. It's not a terrible cream, but I'd rather check out what else the market has to offer.

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga3gvmSsqJ_sBjx2TF3hFb79npN4p3-GHCTLmoIQuizVM8YMcUUY_tP0OCYhr8au6vlgRJ9fDmZAxBMmF5oneNpRV0zdcGGaWtDnEjEvthnsKTiJp8F67-uQuJvbmEnUXBBe8XbTAdlec/s1600/DSCF5035+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Cleanser, foaming cleanser" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga3gvmSsqJ_sBjx2TF3hFb79npN4p3-GHCTLmoIQuizVM8YMcUUY_tP0OCYhr8au6vlgRJ9fDmZAxBMmF5oneNpRV0zdcGGaWtDnEjEvthnsKTiJp8F67-uQuJvbmEnUXBBe8XbTAdlec/s1600/DSCF5035+copy.jpg" title="Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser Review" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
The <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2014/01/Clarisonic-Mia-2.html">Clarisonic Mia 2</a> recommends using a foaming cleanser for best results, so I decided to pick up <a href="http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/1673/6254/Skin-Care/CleansersMakeup-Removers/Rinse-Off-Foaming-Cleanser/For-Dry-Combination-to-Normal-Skin-Types/index.tmpl">Clinique's Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser</a> after being really impressed with some of their <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/08/latest-basic-beauty-favourites.html">other skin care</a>.
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Clinique's Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser is described as being suitable for all skin types and claims to <i>"effectively remove long-wearing makeup and sunscreen quickly and gently"</i>. Clinique also says that skin is left feeling <i>"moist, clean, and fresh"</i>. I'm sorry to say that I couldn't disagree more. I really don't like this cleanser. It merely seems to smudge make up around my face and I really have to rub to get rid of it. If it happens to get near my eyes, it really stings (and I get plenty of other cleansers in my eyes without this issue).
<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtxH0VJOTl54nbQE9s9_n8DXs_CZeW7d0uVEEY01ujkU1x3dfZUMZQ4Lq0eQth-rTWJ0FKvp-0vncgkroSgbArumYTymXKtobbC4yZiX9pL9V4uAAakElXEOPtZFS4qgF8EA_w5cyFDB0/s1600/DSCF5037+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Cleanser, foaming cleanser" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtxH0VJOTl54nbQE9s9_n8DXs_CZeW7d0uVEEY01ujkU1x3dfZUMZQ4Lq0eQth-rTWJ0FKvp-0vncgkroSgbArumYTymXKtobbC4yZiX9pL9V4uAAakElXEOPtZFS4qgF8EA_w5cyFDB0/s1600/DSCF5037+copy.jpg" title="Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser Review" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
The cleanser both smells and feels like a cheap bar of soap. Once I've rinsed it off, my face is left with the dry texture you'd get if you had just washed your face with said cheap soap. I know foaming cleanser can be drying in general, but with its description of being moisturising and my <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2014/01/Clarisonic-Mia-2.html">Clarisonic foaming cleanser</a> leaving me feeling positively refreshed, I thought this cleanser would do the same. It does not.
<br />
<br />
At a hefty <a href="http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/1673/6254/Skin-Care/CleansersMakeup-Removers/Rinse-Off-Foaming-Cleanser/For-Dry-Combination-to-Normal-Skin-Types/index.tmpl">£17 for 150ml</a>, I think it's needless to say I will not be re-purchasing this cleanser in the future.
<br />
<br />
Have you tried this cleanser? Did you have any better results?

<br />
<br />
<center>
<h1>
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation</h1>
<a href="http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk/complexion/foundation/~/sheer-glow-foundation" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Wishlist, wish list, beauty wishlist, 2014, Nars Sheer Glow" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYxAxVIEGZ463Mb1UdPxm2rglJnakaYBOcaS5XfY-yiqfIL9DQnKUE7SyAOnlyAwaBP_k2CWWIEkXPsxith3SRc7-oqCe_rHFjBrwUcovJdQgMR8oPD4r2mxwiniAWI0Gfj5h5GbAZOsY/s1600/nars-sheer-glow-foundation.jpg" title="Nars Sheer Glow Foundation" width="200" /></a></center>
<br />
<br />
I am always on the hunt for a perfect foundation. What I am always on the hunt for is something that will give fairly good coverage to even out my skin tone and hide minor blemishes whilst being a great match for my pale skin. Typically, even the palest of pale foundations are far too brown/yellow for me, even from the brands that have as many as 20+ shades to choose from! I also aim for a dewy finish that's not too shiny. Matte but dewy - is that even possible?! Anyway, I've heard good things about this <a href="http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk/complexion/foundation/~/sheer-glow-foundation">Nars Sheer Glow Foundation</a> and it seems to be suitable for pale skin. I will have to give it a try!<br />

<h1>
Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleansing brush head</h1>
<br />
<a href="http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/accessories/brush-heads/deep-pore-cleansing" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Wishlist, wish list, beauty wishlist, 2014, Clarisonic, deep pore cleanse" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_lIN-o49vp-StzKDkyVDY6iD66YX0V86V_vk4KMW4c_waU01y4x4ED4ehgtE5NveWcrURvN2SBEFNThIsEmYjSPnrK9Zt1_EqCKZdi5YgvP4ybklqYIaiJFb7xTKrqYtLHQJdPrr7iuI/s1600/CS043-pore-cleansing-brush.jpg" title="Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleansing brush head" width="200" /></a></center>
<br />
I already have the Clarisonic Mia 2 to attach this on to, and I am now in need of a replacement brush head. I've been told that this <a href="vhttp://www.clarisonic.co.uk/accessories/brush-heads/deep-pore-cleansing">Deep Pore Cleansing brush head</a> is not for everyday use, so I'm reluctant to spend £21 on this brush head whilst still needing to spend an additional £21 on a brush head that I CAN use everyday. But I still want it!

<h1>
Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder in Porcelain Pearl</h1>
<br />
<a href="http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/product/2325/1000000799/Makeup/Cheeks/Shimmer-Brick/Brightening-Finishing-Powder--Porcelain-Pearl/index.tmpl" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Wishlist, wish list, beauty wishlist, 2014, Bobbi Brown" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVc098P9NID-2iQ6L6DJ597-Ivko_LkT4g1F1_gPBffxBE0k7CrlYwJQV-qXpB1Nnk4jPUN_k1_j-064_Ss7J4iMMP5uBqrO_Yt636Rj1fMbXBcXDT-KWsEV1BFEXqtV8544zqaFNhAOc/s1600/Brightening-Finishing-Powder-Porcelain-Pearl.jpg" title="Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder in Porcelain Pearl" width="200" /></a></center>
<br />
Pathetic admission: I mainly want <a href="http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/product/2325/1000000799/Makeup/Cheeks/Shimmer-Brick/Brightening-Finishing-Powder--Porcelain-Pearl/index.tmpl">this finishing powder</a> just because it LOOKS SO PRETTY! I don't care what it does, it can just sit on my desk looking awesome. But for those who do; <i>"This all-over powder instantly illuminates and gives skin a healthy-looking glow. It's infused with a skin-brightening blend of Mulberry, Grape and Scutellaria extracts, as well as Sodium Hyaluronate (beloved for its moisture magnet-like effect) to help keep skin fresh and smooth looking."</i> So it does sound good too!

Babyliss Pro Perfect Curl</h1>
<br /><a href="http://www.babylisspro.co.uk/perfect-curl.html" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Wishlist, wish list, beauty wishlist, 2014, curly hair, curls" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjktt0LvV0A_D1FnAQHo5vodgiBCtnwRJl1LUYxwoLgZAWBc8Q4QYrizCZgQ-6FGRTjQjMjvi7BXmB3cx5SzllkdBRAurZwwxg3Jl3Btyys7stUFGi-uNPVYkyXidUIrZ-pkQuqL4PkYBw/s1600/BAB2665U_Perfect_Curl_REFLECTION.jpg" title="Babyliss Pro Perfect Curl" width="200" /></a></center>
<br />
I wear my hair straight way too often. I'd love to try a load of different styles, but I suck at styling my hair and I just don't have the patience for it. So that's why the <a href="http://www.babylisspro.co.uk/perfect-curl.html">Babyliss Pro Perfect Curl</a> seems like the perfect solution for me. It draws your hair up into the ceramic curl chamber where it's heated from all directions, resulting in perfect curls. Seriously, if you haven't seen <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrLA4tFR3xg">a video</a> of this working yet, you MUST!

<br />
I overplucked as <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/10/BehindTheBeautyBlogger.html">a teenage goth girl</a>, leaving me with sparse eyebrows that just haven't grown back much over the last 5 years. As a pale blonde, I really struggle finding a decent colour to fill my eyebrows in with; they're always too dark or too orange. Infact I think the best colour match I've found was actually an eyeliner in 'khaki'! I've seen some fairly decent HD Brows results on a few blonde girls and I'd love to get mine done. If any fellow blondies can recommend a London salon I'd love to hear from you!

<br />
I saw a highly favourable blog post about this <a href="http://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/ying-yu-rollers-jade-facial-roller-medium.html">Ying Yu Jade Facial Roller</a> many moons ago (but I failed to save the link sorry!) and it's been on my wishlist ever since. The idea of massaging jade all over my face seems deeply luxurious and I must try it!

Sugarpill Pro Palette</h1>
<br />
<a href="http://www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk/prod/sugarpill-cosmetics-addicted-to-pretty-eye-palette-selection" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Wishlist, wish list, beauty wishlist, 2014, sugarpill eyeshadow" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibUxnQo5fPK8CcImJcGkpNLsR6IYhUZBM7ESTFm_KiRwlJU80wh_NbCisS7kaKAO28T04GFgoBpLjnub9DH2pEiqKQrmb4PH7RRSTCLPF3ZhOzJjyreJpxvKoYyhriwG2Grdn1dNUMC7Y/s1600/Sugarpill-12-Pan-Pro-Palette.jpg" title="Sugarpill Pro Palette" width="200" /></a></center>
<br />
Now this really is something I have to wish for, as I can't find it for sale anywhere, not even an American site with some hefty customs fee! On the plus side though you can pick these colours up in their <a href="http://www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk/prod/sugarpill-cosmetics-addicted-to-pretty-eye-palette-selection">original 4-piece palettes</a>. Sugarpill have been on my to do list for many years with their high pigment eyeshadows.

I liked the variation of these 6 and the caviar and glitter polish were a welcome addition.

<br />
3 months ago I caved into the hype and purchased the <a href="http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/sonic-skincare-systems/sonic-skin-cleansing-systems/clarisonic-mia-2">Clarisonic Mia 2</a> at the <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/09/SelfridgesAutumnBeauty.html">Selfridges Autumn Beauty Event</a>. As with any skincare product, I wanted to use this for a decent amount of time before coming to a conclusion about whether I like it or not. After 3 months, I can conclude that I really love it!<br />

<br />
For the first couple of uses, I wasn't particularly impressed. I was expecting some sort of miracle immediately, but it just felt like I'd washed my face normally. After a few days though, my face started feeling really clean and polished after using it. It improved more and more from there on.
<br />
<br />
The Clarisonic Mia 2 has 2 cleansing speeds adjusted by pressing one of the buttons on the handle. It remembers which setting you last used it on which is quite handy. I have it on the higher setting. Despite looking quite harsh, the Mia 2 is surprisingly gentle on your skin. It has never caused me any irritation or redness. It also has a range of alternative heads you can purchase separately. By default it comes with the <a href="http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/accessories/brush-heads/sensitive-skin">Sensitive</a> brush head which is suitable for most skin types but you can also purchase:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Deep Pore Cleansing Heads</b> - these are ideal for cleansing oily skin, pores or hard to reach areas of the face such as around the nose</li>
<li><b>Delicate Heads</b> - softer than the default Sensitive brush for really sensitive skin</li>
<li><b>Normal Head</b> - which are perfect for normal skin and even for shaving prep or for use on the décolleté and body!</li>
</ul>

<br />
Personally, I think I will soon switch to using the <a href="http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/accessories/brush-heads/normal-skin">Normal</a> head on a daily basis soon and the <a href="http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/accessories/brush-heads/deep-pore-cleansing">Deep Pore</a> once or twice a week as I like the idea of getting a super deep cleanse! It's only when I begun writing this post that I discovered you can use the normal head on your body! The Mia 2 is advertised as a facial cleanser and Clarisonic also sell a more expensive Clarisonic Plus which is advertised as a facial & body cleanser as it allows for a larger brush head attachment specifically for the body. However it seems you can use your Mia 2 for this too! Clarisonic suggest replacing your brush head every 3 months for the best results.
<br />
<br />
The Mia 2 features a pulsing T-Timer® which indicates when you should move the brush around your face. It stops buzzing temporarily to indicate that you should switch to another part of your face. It starts with 20 seconds on the forehead, followed by 20 seconds on your nose and chin, then lastly 10 seconds on each cheek. This feels like a good amount of time for each area and I do stick to their suggested timings.

<br />
During the first 6 weeks, I did notice I got considerably more spots than usual, but they were very small and disappeared fast. It did feel like my skin was going through a purging phase. Eventually they cleared up. I do still get spots from time to time, but as I mentioned above, they are always small and fade quickly, usually in a day or two. Strangely it also seems like the dark shadows under my eyes have actually lightened up after using this.
<br />
<br />
My skin tone actually looks more even and fresh. I now feel I could get by with just a couple of dabs of concealer, rather than a full face of foundation (not that I do, but if I was trying to save some time I might!). Dry, flakey skin around my nose soon disappeared completely.
<br />
<br />
The Clarisonic Mia 2 comes with a handy travel case which came in handy with my Christmas travelling! It's sturdy and doesn't really add any extra bulk. Obviously you won't be able to fit the charger in there but hopefully you wouldn't need to anyway! I find I usually need to charge it once every 3-4 weeks. I charge it for 24 hours each time. Also included in the box is a mini <a href="http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/accessories/cleansers/refreshing-gel-cleanser">Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser</a> which foams up nicely with the Clarisonic. I'd definitely consider purchasing the cleanser once I've run out of my current one.

<br />
After 3 months of using the Clarisonic Mia 2 every day, I definitely feel like the Clarisonic gives a much deeper clean than simply washing my face normally. I hate to go a day without using it now. I don't really use it for washing make up off. At night I just use my usual cleansers to remove my make up, then I use the Clarisonic the following morning with a foaming cleanser to really wake me up. I have read varying advice on how many times you should use the Clarisonic, but <a href="http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/sonic-skincare-systems/sonic-skin-cleansing-systems/clarisonic-mia-2">their website</a> says you can use it up to twice a day, so I may increase to this, just so I get that extra clean feeling at night too. These are the steps I follow when I use it:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>First I use <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/08/latest-basic-beauty-favourites.html">L'oreal Skin Perfection 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil</a> to remove my make up and wash it off</li>
<li>I apply the Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser directly to my already moistened skin</li>
<li>I turn the Clarisonic on (I permanently leave it on the higher setting)</li>
<li>I gradually cleanse my face by moving the brush head in small circular motions - following the timings of the T-timer</li>
<li>Once the T-timer is done, I rinse and dry my face and the Clarisonic brush</li>
</ol>
<br />
The <a href="http://www.clarisonic.co.uk/sonic-skincare-systems/sonic-skin-cleansing-systems/clarisonic-mia-2">Clarisonic Mia 2 is available for £125</a> and sometimes you can find special edition packs which often contain additional brush heads or extra cleansers. I'm really glad I've purchased the Mia 2 and I wouldn't like to be without it. <br />
With Christmas coming up soon I certainly couldn't resist posting at least 1 Christmas nail art tutorial. I tried out few different designs and this is one I really liked. It's definitely Christmas themed but it still looks delicate and pretty on your nails. I hope you enjoy the tutorial!

<br />
From L-R: You usual clear base coat, white polish, a range of silvery/white glitters, green nail art pen, red nail art pen, white nail art pen, your usual top coat
<br />
<br />
Don't worry if you don't have nail art pens, you can use dotting tools and a fine nail art brush instead!
<br />
<br />
<h3>
Step 1: Base Coat</h3>
<br />
Start with clean, moisturised nails. Apply your usual base coat and wait for it to dry.
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUBrAcTGZ1gs0TkmjuRtbUhmrhLXY2lSo1MVnWi9Pmmx0nVqNIqBcS-Hp7Efp42uMUTQtHTSiDW7WILisNjVKNDqCXcB9bp-RrGxkBqSkx9oM41GD-UnyoBbscWX7Qpx4J3eHaC5zaUf0/s1600/DSCF4960+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Nailtiques Protein, Christmas nail art, tutorial, how to, NOTD, holly, winter " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUBrAcTGZ1gs0TkmjuRtbUhmrhLXY2lSo1MVnWi9Pmmx0nVqNIqBcS-Hp7Efp42uMUTQtHTSiDW7WILisNjVKNDqCXcB9bp-RrGxkBqSkx9oM41GD-UnyoBbscWX7Qpx4J3eHaC5zaUf0/s1600/DSCF4960+copy.jpg" title="How To: 7 Steps for a Christmas French Manicure" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
<br />
<h3>
Step 2: French Tip</h3>
<br />
Using your white polish, paint a french tip on the end of each nail. I chose to do this free hand with a normal brush, but you can use french tip guide stickers or fine brushes if you prefer. Don't worry if you get any on your cuticles, we can clean that up later.
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<h3>
Step 3: Glitter French Tips</h3>
<br />
Using any white or silver glitters, paint over the white french tip (once it has dried) for a more wintery look. As you can see, I was indecisive and went for 3 different types of glitter! Make sure you don't use golden glitters as they can make the white look stained.
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjC6j1SBiByfimizkiuoP7cWgO4Ch9RZVQVuF87EwybC-QjE7z-JniJBgzaJYG639DD1CxH-7SvogYiGypHZ7EWjt_b1Xdok4H1YJqCu07d8-Mpr3H9MNDNoUblGDNRHp3CH00Oeo_wdoA/s1600/DSCF4965+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="glitter, Christmas nail art, tutorial, how to, NOTD, holly, winter, nails" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjC6j1SBiByfimizkiuoP7cWgO4Ch9RZVQVuF87EwybC-QjE7z-JniJBgzaJYG639DD1CxH-7SvogYiGypHZ7EWjt_b1Xdok4H1YJqCu07d8-Mpr3H9MNDNoUblGDNRHp3CH00Oeo_wdoA/s1600/DSCF4965+copy.jpg" title="How To: 7 Steps for a Christmas French Manicure" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
<br />
<h3>
Step 4: Red Berries:</h3>
<br />
Using your red nail art pen (or red polish and a dotting tool) paint on some holly berries just above your french tip. I found I needed 3 berries for my thumbnails and then 2 on every other nail. Make sure you leave some space on both sides for holly leaves.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlu1Q3n3AvZL-WJVe7TtHeQqxGr-4J8-GcL2sSdE_NQW7RIlA5iw20EBcjqD0qSSowmJivv-UqGE4WInHGYrATx4MVhS2QCjlimJ4JS4p0KUPxmJ6vJkPBnMlZRxNl6w-5fXuynTjfNsg/s1600/DSCF4976+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Christmas nail art, tutorial, how to, NOTD, holly, winter " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlu1Q3n3AvZL-WJVe7TtHeQqxGr-4J8-GcL2sSdE_NQW7RIlA5iw20EBcjqD0qSSowmJivv-UqGE4WInHGYrATx4MVhS2QCjlimJ4JS4p0KUPxmJ6vJkPBnMlZRxNl6w-5fXuynTjfNsg/s1600/DSCF4976+copy.jpg" title="How to do a Christmas French Manicure" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
<br />
<h3>
Step 5: Holly Leaves</h3>
<br />
Using the green nail art pen (or green polish and a fine brush) paint on holly leaves either side of the berries. To do this, I paint little C shapes and join them together to form the leaves.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoOkoh8k7qkLLz2wGUiBpUDgA9dmCyOvLl6l2Z4oXbnc79dSod2RaWzNs-UmFtYF7HCaAjkYfMNtesnGd83I9wWc-KaDSKi_em2ozGh5N2UvxpAaN-et9Iau6aeuwbFJSscMGsZ5R-SFg/s1600/DSCF4979+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Christmas nail art, tutorial, how to, NOTD, holly, winter " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoOkoh8k7qkLLz2wGUiBpUDgA9dmCyOvLl6l2Z4oXbnc79dSod2RaWzNs-UmFtYF7HCaAjkYfMNtesnGd83I9wWc-KaDSKi_em2ozGh5N2UvxpAaN-et9Iau6aeuwbFJSscMGsZ5R-SFg/s1600/DSCF4979+copy.jpg" title="Tutorial for a Christmas French Manicure" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
<br />
<h3>
Step 6: Add Some Depth!</h3>
<br />
Using the white nail art pen (or white polish and a fine art brush) paint a little curve of light on to each berry, making sure that the angle of the lighting matches on each berry. Only do this once your red berries have dried completely or you'll end up with some pink lines!<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFK7TOWzt0ainzIYSugO3F7BvK6oAjsNG8LU3CYwCNqiJ0riIOiNRN83Yj81IVa8qMV30LYoHUNLjPKucf8JmJJejVIz6EzAWwx8-BmSqxj3roSggg0uVgJthKW-aIj9NVHkpCGZVD4uA/s1600/DSCF4986+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Christmas nail art, tutorial, how to, NOTD, holly, winter " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFK7TOWzt0ainzIYSugO3F7BvK6oAjsNG8LU3CYwCNqiJ0riIOiNRN83Yj81IVa8qMV30LYoHUNLjPKucf8JmJJejVIz6EzAWwx8-BmSqxj3roSggg0uVgJthKW-aIj9NVHkpCGZVD4uA/s1600/DSCF4986+copy.jpg" title="How To: 7 Steps for a Christmas French Manicure" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
<br />
<h3>
Step 7: Add a Top Coat and Clean Up!</h3>
<br />
Wait a little while to make sure your nail art is dry enough that a cleat topcoat won't drag the design down as you paint it on. You don't want to ruin all your hard work now! Once that's done, use a cotton bud (or a nail brush) dipped in nail polish remover to gently clean off any excess polish you may have gotten on your cuticles.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqBdH6IlkV7_edERg8HEyHcFQ_pI8E_G-0D3UNIo8LD3FaCquBRhBPHurKn_mAKIUEXJCxt-tFBYoSaOGczpvMhmNMOcooLdN-724ElQxYljjmLEq3esON1Eo7XL48rvGZLL8UJTPhz4Y/s1600/DSCF4999+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Christmas nail art, tutorial, how to, NOTD, holly, winter " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqBdH6IlkV7_edERg8HEyHcFQ_pI8E_G-0D3UNIo8LD3FaCquBRhBPHurKn_mAKIUEXJCxt-tFBYoSaOGczpvMhmNMOcooLdN-724ElQxYljjmLEq3esON1Eo7XL48rvGZLL8UJTPhz4Y/s1600/DSCF4999+copy.jpg" title="Tutorial for a Christmas French Manicure" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
So there you have it, a Christmas french manicure!

<br />
<br />
<h3>
Day 7: Fit for a Queen</h3>
I love this silver! It's a very high pigment, metallic silver that's slightly matte. Really eye-catching and perfect for winter. Its high opacity would make it brilliant for nail art too.
<br />

<h3>
Day 8: Kiss Chase</h3>
I was pleased to get a pink shade that I don't already own! This is a bright salmon pink and dries super glossy. Really lovely.
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<h3>
Day 9: Pillowfight</h3>
Grey is one of my favourite colours to wear on my nails and this shade is no exception; it's a beautiful pink toned grey and applies effortlessly.
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAMMqEiWlK8oRh20VW7rUdwYYBKLw9JxiLEC8FOpACL04HB5ugHM3j_lTN7B0XXCoVVEDk6uHeAfa8SGSFvudEQ5nPT25qVnbcr51TgZX06_BXZaWXhMX7IiLmXSQwzCUDINKMhxk4bXg/s1600/blogger-image-317759935.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="swatches, Christmas, Ciate Advent Calendar, Ciaté Mini Mani Month, notd, " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAMMqEiWlK8oRh20VW7rUdwYYBKLw9JxiLEC8FOpACL04HB5ugHM3j_lTN7B0XXCoVVEDk6uHeAfa8SGSFvudEQ5nPT25qVnbcr51TgZX06_BXZaWXhMX7IiLmXSQwzCUDINKMhxk4bXg/s1600/blogger-image-317759935.jpg" title="Ciate Pillowfight Mini Mani Month Review " width="400" /></a></center>
<br />
<br />
<h3>
Day 10: Speed Coat Top Coat</h3>
I have to be honest, at first I thought it was a little boring to get a top coat, but then I realised it gave me a free day to do whatever I wanted on my nails, so I went all-out and did something really Christmassy! The Speed Coat Top Coat was perfect for it, it glides on smoothy without dragging my nail art underneath and it did try really quickly. Perfect!

<br />
<br />
<h3>
Day 11: Jingle Belle Glitter</h3>
Such a pretty glitter, although perhaps better suited to summer. It's a peachy rose gold shade and actually has a green shine to it! So pretty on.
<br />

<br />
<br />
<h3>
Day 12: Pepperminty</h3>
A fairly bright minty green that applies with decent pigment, only a couple of coats required.
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I'm definitely happier with these 6 over the <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/12/Mini-Mani-Month-1.html">previous 6</a>, there was a lot more variety in colour, but again not that many winter shades.
<br />
<br />
Don't forget to pop back soon for days 13-18 of the Ciaté Mini Mani Month advent calendar!

<br />
I recently purchased some <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/12/Bleach-Blonde-Halo-Extensions.html">Halo Hair Extensions</a> in 'Bleach Blonde' which I've been very impressed with, but my one problem was that they were too dark for my white blonde hair, so I decided to risk dying them. Now I just want to clarify, in <a href="http://www.halohairextensions.com/faqs.aspx">Halo's FAQ</a> here is the advice they give for dying your Halo:<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<i>"If you chose to dye your halo hair extensions, as with your own hair it is best only to dye them a few shades darker. Completely saturate the hair extensions in the hair dye to ensure an even application and leave for the recommended time. We do not recommend using any bleaching agents on the hair as this may cause damage to the extensions and your own hair. We strongly recommend you seek salon assistance in dyeing your hair or halo hair extensions as we cannot guarantee results or be held responsible for failed dye attempts that results in damage or wrong colour creations"</i>
<br />
<br />
So please do remember this should you choose to dye your Halo. My natural hair has been dyed at home for over 10 years. I have been dying it by myself for around the last 5 years, so I felt comfortable in attempting to dye my Halo myself with the brands I have come to trust. I chose to use the same hair dye which I use on my own hair; <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/08/SchwarzkopfLiveColorAbsolutePlatinum.html">Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL Colour Intense in Absolute Platinum</a>.
<br />
<br />
<center>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf33YGUzx7GbV2Iw5lJlkAWzwlpKFsU4wsNgnKPuQxTE3wk81H_5N2nDO1H1dWEJqPt0Ix4h1sxugm5FzxIrFXgBUToBnMHEtxXOvhAOlzAiPUmMXYVZQ2k1ZCfXF8wi6wxdi5tGXTJgo/s1600/DSCF4922+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Schwarzkopf Live Absolute Platinum dye" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhf33YGUzx7GbV2Iw5lJlkAWzwlpKFsU4wsNgnKPuQxTE3wk81H_5N2nDO1H1dWEJqPt0Ix4h1sxugm5FzxIrFXgBUToBnMHEtxXOvhAOlzAiPUmMXYVZQ2k1ZCfXF8wi6wxdi5tGXTJgo/s1600/DSCF4922+copy.jpg" title="How To Dye Halo Hair Extensions" width="300" /></a></center>
<br />
I found that the easiest way to dye the hair extensions was to drape them over the edge into the bath. Mix up your dye as instructed on the box then use a hair dye brush to saturate the hair in the dye. I was weary of potentially causing any damage to the miracle wire, so I didn't dye all the way up to the weft at the top. A whole bottle of dye was a good amount for covering the Halo hair extension. I'd say there would be enough product for any of the lengths Halo come in, however I am using the 16" extensions and there was a little excess dye left.
<br />
<br />

<br />
Dying was a fiddly job and I'd recommend having an extra person help if you can. This is definitely a task you're going to need to do in the bathroom; either over the bath or a sink.
<br />

<br />
The dye I used recommends leaving it to develop for 30-45 minutes. I left it in for the maximum 45 minutes as it was still looking fairly dark at 30. I rinsed out the dye thoroughly and then applied <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/11/BleachLondonSilverShampoo.html">Bleach London's Silver Shampoo</a> which is a deep purple toning shampoo for removing the brassy tones that you can be left with when bleaching hair. The toner had a strong effect on the hair which quickly toned to a more silvery shade of blonde. I finished with an ordinary moisturising conditioner.
<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxVVal9mgrP8K9bZMlUrjQxtT6kTPPuY75N6UxSGIQJlZ24lWCnnp5J_mF7cnIWvUqaK3InMVKTAcWgSbnIUnFVz7cVkRhyY1bUqVf8VZUQmGl1TnJKt0AiCEnRM_dAeiNJ_GfRWDyce8/s1600/DSCF4928+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Halo, long hair, bleach extensions" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxVVal9mgrP8K9bZMlUrjQxtT6kTPPuY75N6UxSGIQJlZ24lWCnnp5J_mF7cnIWvUqaK3InMVKTAcWgSbnIUnFVz7cVkRhyY1bUqVf8VZUQmGl1TnJKt0AiCEnRM_dAeiNJ_GfRWDyce8/s1600/DSCF4928+copy.jpg" title="How To Tone Halo Hair Extensions" width="600" /></a></center>
<br />
I applied a leave-in hair oil before drying with a hairdryer. As Halos are real hair, the care of them is similar to that of your own hair; <a href="http://www.halohairextensions.com/aftercare.aspx">Halo suggest</a> using shampoos and conditioners followed by drying using a hairdryer. You should also use heat styling oils to protect your hair from any heat damage.
<br />
<br />
As you can see from the first 2 images in this post, the hair was definitely lighter blonde and had lost a lot of the brassy hues after dying, I was very impressed. I lost very little hair throughout (far less than when I dye my own hair! and after taking the photos above I applied my usual <a href="http://www.hannahsbeautysweet.com/2013/10/BBHairdressersInvisibleOil.html">Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil</a> heat styling product and straightened them, resulting in a sleeker look.
<br />
<br />
The end result was extensions that are indistinguishable from my own hair, I am thrilled with them!

Halo Hair extensions in Bleach Blonde are <a href="http://www.halohairextensions.com/1/16/the-halo-in-bleach-blonde.aspx">£89.99 for 16"</a> but they have a whole range of other colours and lengths and they even offer clip in extensions too. <br />
<br />
<h3>
Day 1: Snow Globe</h3>
An iridescent glitter flakes topcoat, perfect for winter! It shines in shades of pink, blue and gold. You need to have several coats for a good covering of glitter however. I layered it over some pale blue polish for an icy look.

<h3>
Day 3: Hopscotch</h3>
A little disappointed to get a bright orange shade in this advent calendar - it couldn't be any less wintery/Christmasy! So close to the red shade too, I want variety! Fairly sheer, needs at least 3 coats.

<h3>
Day 4: Miss Mistletoe Sequins</h3>
Glad to have this even though it's more red! Lovely to have some super sparkly nails though - but perhaps too much for every nail ;) a perfect companion for this glitter is day 2's Boudoir.

<h3>
Day 5: Encore</h3>
As you can imagine from my comment on Hopscotch, I was hugely disappointed to get yet another shade of orange. This advent calendar was starting to feel very boring. I actually opened day 6 earlier just in the hope that it wouldn't be another day of orange! It's a cute terracotta orange and perhaps during summer I'd have been more pleased to receive it, but I never wear shades like this in winter.

<h3>
Day 6: Sugar Plum</h3>
Finally back to some cold wintery shades; a beautiful pastel purple with some pinky tones. I really loved this shade! It applies really well, like Boudoir, sleek and shiny. This is definitely my favourite pick so far from the Ciaté Mini Mani Month.

<br />
<br />
Overall this wasn't quite the enjoyment I was hoping for from my first few days of my Ciaté advent calendar; there really were far too many similar colours in a row - worse still, they weren't even wintery. I wouldn't mind an orange thrown in here or there, but 2 in 3 days was overkill and I couldn't bring myself to keep wearing orange nails! That aside, the polishes are good quality and really do have a professional finish to them. I look forward to the next 6 days and hope to see less orange!!
<br />
<br />
Don't forget to pop back soon for days 7-12 of the Ciaté Mini Mani Month advent calendar!

I couldn't possibly resist this beautiful shimmery red polish being given away as a free gift in this month's Cosmopolitan magazine. Also I was an Orly virgin and I really feel I should give all nail polish brands a try!

I was so pleased with this polish. It glides on so smoothly and only requires a couple of coats. For a glittery polish, it has an amazingly sleek application and gel like finish. The color is a perfect cherry red and I think this is now my new favourite red polish - I have quite a lot! It also removes with ease in comparison to many other glitter polishes. All in all a really wonderful nail polish and absolutely perfect for Christmas!

<br />
Ever since I came across indie nail polishes on <a href="http://instagram.com/hanrutmoe">Instagram</a> I've lusted after the jelly matte glitter polishes that are so popular with them. Unfortunately, for a long time I've been unable to find a decent UK supplier and I so despise being hit by customs charges from US parcels! In come <a href="http://rainbow-connection.co.uk/">Rainbow Connection</a> who stock a whole load of different indie polishes from many US brands. My first purchase was <a href="http://rainbow-connection.co.uk/products/blibber-blubber">Blibber Blubber by Glam Polish</a>.<br />

This polish looks seriously cute in the bottle! It has a mix of pink, blue, yellow, orange, red and green matte glitters all in different shapes and sizes, my favourites being the large hexagon glitters.

<br />
I didn't get the jelly effect that appears on the swatches I've seen and I'm not really sure why. I applied about 4 coats of this product and finished with my glossiest top coat, but I can't say the results were quite the effect I was expecting them to be. Perhaps a fellow indie polish fan has some tips for getting it to look like it does in all the promo photos?!

<br />
I think I'd prefer this polish if it had more of the large glitter and much less of the tiny glitter, but I suppose as it's indie you are always going to get slight variations in each product.
